I have worked for 11 years at CERN, in the Asacusa (AD-3) experiment at the Antiproton Decelerator, on the laser spectroscopy of antiprotonic helium. In the last 3-4 years I also worked on the simulation, design, construction, testing and commissioning of the hardware (quadrupoles, deflectors, correctors, and an exotic multi-way ion switchyard) of the electrostatic beamlines of the ELENA ring. This is how I got involved in accelerator development. I started working on the extraction scheme and hardware of the Future Circular Collider (FCC).
I returned to Budapest in April 2016 to Wigner Research Centre for Physics, and started an accelerator development activity, which was new in the profile of the institute. The group I am building up consists of students. The information available on this webpage summarizes the activity of the group.
